How to Prepare for Your Free Care Consultation
A free consultation is just a conversation — there's no obligation, and you don't need to have everything figured out beforehand. That said, a little preparation can help you get more out of the call.
Think through a typical day
Walk through what a normal day looks like for your loved one. What do they manage easily on their own? Where do they tend to need a hand — getting dressed, preparing meals, getting to appointments, remembering medication?
Note any recent changes
Has anything changed recently — a fall, a hospital stay, a new diagnosis, or just a general decline in energy or mood? These details help us understand the bigger picture.
List current medications and providers
Having a rough list of medications, primary care providers, and any specialists involved can be useful, especially if behavioral or transitional support is part of the conversation.
Bring your questions
There's no such thing as a small question. Common ones include how caregivers are matched, how billing works, what a typical schedule looks like, and how to adjust a care plan over time.
Decide who else should be involved
If siblings, a spouse, or other family members share in decision-making, it can help to loop them in beforehand or include them on the call.
Most of all, come as you are. Our job in that first conversation is to listen and help you find clarity — not to have all your answers ready in advance.
